On Thursday 4th July, all students in Years 7 to 10 took part in our annual sponsored walk, raising an incredible £4,356.91 for St. Catherine’s Hospice—a local cancer charity that holds a very special place in our hearts.

Students walked an impressive 8 miles—equivalent to around 19,000 steps—between 8:30 am and 12:30 pm, showing outstanding commitment and energy throughout the event. The walk was supported by every member of staff and our fantastic Year 12 students, who were stationed along the route to ensure safety and to offer words of encouragement.

St. Catherine’s Hospice provides vital care and support for individuals and families affected by cancer—a cause that resonates deeply within our school community. Many of our staff, students, and their families have felt the impact of this disease, and we walk in solidarity with them.

Our hearts go out to all those continuing to face the challenges of cancer. We hope the funds raised can help the hospice continue its essential work, offering comfort, care, and dignity to those who need it most.

We are ICC Proud—proud of our students, our staff, and our whole community for coming together to support such a meaningful cause
