We enjoyed a fantastic and very special trip to Grange Park Opera last Thursday evening, 13th June 2024 to see the production of La fille du régiment (The Daughter of the Regiment) by Donizetti!
Tickets are normally £220 a ticket, but we were offered five tickets for free. There is a long break in the middle of the performance, during which guests can enjoy their picnics (which were provided) in the beautiful gardens. The little desserts of chocolate covered meringues with strawberries and cream were the favourite.
The performance was absolutely superb with an amazing orchestra and outstanding soloists. There were also hilarious moments.
Special thanks to Mrs Styles who drove the mini-bus with expertise and good humour and to Ms Ruthven-Brink who was able to secure the free tickets and made the evening possible.
Everyone loved this memorable experience and had lots of fun!
