Enrichment

Before leaving Sixth Form and moving on to the next step of your career, it is important for us to maximise your potential.

We intend to do this through our enrichment programme. This will challenge and stretch you to make you the ‘stand out candidate’ for universities and future employers.

All students in the Sixth Form will be offered the opportunity to get involved with enrichment activities. Enrichment complements academic studies but also allows students to flourish outside the classroom and focus on essential skills. Enrichment also gives students the opportunity to:

  • Impress universities in their personal statement
  • Stand out from the rest in a job application
  • Gain work experience essential to future career
  • Build confidence
  • Continue participation in a hobby or sport
  • Try something completely different
  • Develop confidence and skills such as leadership and team-working

Opportunities are open to all students to experience and investigate a variety of Future Pathways, from Medicine, Veterinary Science or Dentistry or universities such as Oxbridge, to Apprenticeships, Gap Years and the world of work.

Aspire Programme

Our Aspire Programme is committed to identifying and supporting academically ambitious students with the potential to thrive at top ranked universities or apprenticeships. The programme fosters intellectual curiosity, critical thinking and passion for learning, ensuring every student is equipped with the skills, confidence and knowledge needed to pursue their academic aspirations at the highest level. Our programme includes access to  inspirational speakers, tailored interview & admissions preparation, personal statement workshops, Russell Group University visits, academic mentoring and academic challenge activities.
